Our AI policy for candidates

Guidelines for using AI

  • We encourage you to use AI to refine and check your CV and application so you can present your best self in the process and demonstrate your unique perspective, skills and experiences.
  • We would advise that when you apply, you write your CV and cover letter (or any other materials as part of the process) yourself, then use AI to refine what you have written. However you must carefully check the accuracy of your application and using AI to create or exaggerate experiences is strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification from the hiring process.
  • We would also strongly encourage the use of AI to help you prepare for an interview, for example to upload your CV, cover letter or other materials, and the job description and ask Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or whoever your favourite agent is to conduct a mock interview with feedback, to help you shine.
  • During the interview itself, the use of AI is strictly prohibited, we want to hear from you, and meet your authentic self, not talk to Claude (as much as we enjoy that).

Why these guidelines?

We want to hear from the real you. We encourage you to use AI thoughtfully, as a tool to assist you, the human in the loop. However we do not want to hire a person fronting for ChatGPT and value transparency and authenticity above all else.

How we use AI

We might use AI to help us to prepare for interviews, suggest interview questions, and refine job descriptions. However we do not use AI to shortlist candidates, in the interview itself, or to help make a decision on who to hire.
